The Venetian Carnival Series was originally started in February around the time of Mardi Gras. Having never participated in the Big Easy’s famous bash, I decided to investigate on the holiday and it’s international events. Research, with help from the internet, led to different varieties of costumes, masks, and characters and from those charmers the paintings started taking form.
