WHAT THEY MEAN TO ME...
The Tainted series were once bright, primary color paintings; they began life happy and unaware. I was angry about a lot of things and took it out on these once joyful paintings. I took something lively and energetic and turned it into dark cold memories. This group of paintings reminds me that even though I’ve painted over something to make it seem void and cover-up what truly could be, there is still life and vitality underneath it all.
